Asterion is an organisation set up by neurodivergent people in Classics. Our goals are

~ to raise the profile of neurodiversity;

~ to celebrate the achievements of neurodivergent classicists;

~ to tackle barriers to inclusion through support and training.

What are Asterion’s values?

Asterion has been founded on four core principles.

  1. Asterion is inclusive, welcoming anyone with a personal or professional interest in neurodiversity.
  2. Asterion welcomes and supports self-diagnosis.
  3. Asterion recognises the importance of intersectionality, valuing differences in gender, sexuality, race and class.
  4. Asterion will always be majority-led by neurodivergent classicists.
